Strengthening sow rearing management

Sows should be fed more roughage during the rest period, mid-pregnancy and late lactation, and be fed with green feed properly. Sows are supplied with sufficient protein, minerals, and vitamins during the early stages of pregnancy, late pregnancy, and early breastfeeding. At the same time, it is necessary to provide the sow with a relatively stable living environment, and to minimize the stress response caused by transfer, drive, and the like.

Do a good job of giving birth to a sow

The sows are cleaned 5 to 10 days before delivery and sprayed with 10% to 20% fresh lime water. The sows are sterilized with 2% to 5% of the pregnant women's abdomen, breasts, and pus. After the sow has given birth, the mucus in the nose of the piglet must be removed in time to tear off the membranes. For juvenile piglets, it can be used to pat the chest, lift the hind legs or use alcohol to punish the nose. For the difficult-to-produce sows to do a good job midwifery, so that the sows will have a smooth delivery. In addition, heat preservation is especially important for newborn piglets. When the piglets are born, the temperature of the tillers must be maintained at 26°C~32°C.

Sows have to breed during lactation

Piglets are weaned at 35-40 days of age. In general, aphrodisiacs are given to sows 3 to 5 days after weaning. After sows are estrus, they must be bred immediately to make them pregnant during lactation to increase litter size.
