A New Technology for Incubating Eggs in Black Phoenix Chicken Eggs

The Poultry Research Laboratory of the Breeding Technology Research Institute of Qingshen County of Sichuan Province used the water temperature box to incubate the black chicken eggs to achieve breakthrough results. In the last year, 50,000 eggs were hatched and 45,638 hatchlings were hatched. The hatching rate of fertilized eggs reached 96%. Practice has proved that incubating black phoenix chickens with water incubators is simple, easy to operate, uniform in egg temperature, low in cost, and effective in hatching, and worthy of application and promotion by farmers. 1. Incubation equipment preparation: choose dry, cold and warm houses, depending on the size of the incubation, using light galvanized sheet metal as the material, made of outer layer length 150cm, width 80cm, height 28cm, the distance between the bottom and the bottom 6 cm, a bunk bed type tank with a distance of 3 cm between the outer wall and the inner wall of the basket. Put two long and wide visual energy end caps on the inside of the box for convenient, high 6 cm four-layer total of 8 egg trays, and prepare sawdust insulation materials and gauze, single cloth, quilts covering the adjustment of egg temperature. 2. Egg selection: choose to store for no more than 7 days, medium size, normal egg shape, obvious egg end, fresh and clean crack-free surface, dark brown colored egg, high hatching rate of such eggs. 3. Disinfection and preheating: Soak the eggs in 0.1% benzal solution at 41°C for 3 minutes before hatching to kill the harmful microorganisms attached to the eggshell and pre-prepare the eggs at 36-38°C. Warm 6~8 hours to increase hatching rate. 4. Incubation temperature and humidity: Pay attention to the replacement of hot water in the box and increase or decrease the thickness of the covering such as gauze, single cloth or quilt to adjust the egg temperature. Generally, warm water is added once every 12 hours, and the egg temperature is measured between the two eggs with the corrected thermometer. The egg temperature during the first 7 days of hatching was 38.5 to 39.2°C, 88.2 days later to 38.2 to 38.6°C, 17 to 19 days to 37.8 to 38.2°C, and 20 days to hatching 38.2 to 38.8°C. The relative humidity during incubation was 55-65%, and it increased to 65-70% when hatching. 5, according to the eggs: not hatching eggs before strict eggs, remove the unqualified eggs can increase the hatching rate. Incubate for 6 days for the first time, eggs for the second time in 11 days, and eggs for the third time in 17 days. Get good hatching results by looking at fetal temperature. 6. Turning eggs: Turning the egg at a 180° angle is one of the keys to improving hatchability. When hatching, it can be turned once every 8-12 hours. Move eggs out of the hatchery three days before hatching and stop turning eggs. 7. Breeding: The lung function has already formed in the late stage of the embryo, and it needs enough oxygen. Therefore, there must be some space for covering and breeding eggs, and the number of cool and cool eggs should be appropriately increased. As long as 38.2 to 38.8°C is maintained, except for a small number of embryos and eggs, artificial hatchery production is generally required.
