Harvest rice four notes

Before and after harvesting rice, pay attention to the following four points.

1. Drain early. Drain the water in the paddy field as much as possible, and if necessary, dig the ditch to drain the water in the low-lying area as early as possible.

2. Ready to harvest. Manual harvesting is carried out when more than 95% of the rice plants in the field have yellowish husks, hardened grains, and transparent rice grains. Mechanical harvesting can be done a few days later.

3. Pay attention to the method. Artificial sun-cutting can increase grain weight and increase yield. At the same time, rice has good commercial quality and high germination rate. Harvesting using a harvester, preferably without a full-feed harvester, will result in more shoots in the rice and higher breakage of the husks.

4. Dry in time. After two days of manual cutting and thinning and spreading evenly, the bundles will be sun-dried for two days and threshing and drying in the rain. Rice harvested after mechanical harvesting can not be stuffed in bags or stored in large piles for a long time. It should be spread out in a timely manner, lightly sunk several times a day, and removed large branch stems, broken leaves, and rice smut disease grains. Seed moisture content dropped below 15% in bags for storage.
