Analysis of the common faults in the threshing section of grain combine harvester and its elimination methods:

(1) roller jam

Cause of failure: The drum speed is too low; the feed amount is too large; the gap between the indents is too small; the crop is too moist.

Remedy: Stop the blockage and increase the speed of the drum; reduce the speed of the machine or increase the cutting speed and change the cutting width; adjust the concave gap properly; delay the harvest.

(2) too much grain breakage

Cause of failure: The drum speed is too high; the gap between the indentations is too small; the crop is not becoming hot; the grain enters too many augers.

Remedy: Reduce the drum speed; increase the gap between the concave plates; delay the harvest; adjust the wind direction, air volume and the opening degree of the sieve.

(3) The drum rotates unevenly or has abnormal sound

Cause of failure: There are deposits in the drum; the bolts loose or fall off, or the struts are damaged; the drums are unbalanced; the bearings are damaged, and the drums axially move.

Remedy: Remove deposits; tighten bolts or replace bars; rebalance; replace bearing or check tightened bearing lock sleeve.

(4) Too much entrained grain in stems

Failure reason: The key surface is blocked in the sieve or the key box; the crop is damp, dry, too much weeds; the drafting frequency is too low; the feeding amount is too large; the grass blocking curtain is damaged or lost.

Remedy: eliminate blockage; reduce the amount of feed change the drum speed, concave plate gap; adjust the belt tension; reduce the speed or increase the cutting speed; repair grass screen.

(5) Drafter crankshaft has sound

Cause of failure: The clearance of the wooden bush is too large; the bolts of the wooden bush are loose. Remedy: Adjust the gap of the wooden bush; tighten the bolts. There are too many seeds in the glume Cause of failure: The opening of the sieve is small; the amount of air is too large The seeds are blown out; the feeding amount is too high; the rotating speed of the drum is too high; the stalk is too broken; the wind direction is not suitable.

Remedy: Increase the opening; reduce the air volume; reduce the amount of feed; reduce the drum speed or increase the gap between the concave plate; adjust the air guide plate.

(6) Too much impurities in food

Cause of failure: The upper opening of the upper screen is large; the air volume is too small or the wind direction is not suitable.

Remedy: Reduce the opening; increase the air volume or adjust the air deflector.

(7) Too much glume in the surplus

Cause of failure: The air volume is too small; the miscellaneous screen opening is too large; the rear screen is lifted too high.

Remedy: Increase the air volume; reduce its opening; reduce the back end of the screen.

(8) Too many heads in food

Cause of failure: The front opening of the upper screen is too large; the air volume is too small.

Remedy: Reduce the opening of the section; increase the air volume.

(9) Elevator jam

Cause of failure: Scraper chain is too loose; belt slips; crop is damp.

Remedy: Stop the plug and tighten the chain; tighten the belt; delay the harvest.

(10) Plugged off

Cause of failure: The pre-tightening force of the safety clutch is too small; the belt slips; the crop is dry, and there is excessive miscellaneousness in the stripper.

Remedy: Stop the threshing, remove the blockage, increase the pre-tightening force of the safety clutch, tighten the belt, reduce the opening of the tailing screen, increase the opening degree of other screens, increase the air volume, and change the rotation speed of the drum.
