Fox breeding raises "five issues"

Early breeding

Silver Fox is ready for breeding from December to next January, and blue foxes can be extended to February. The main task during this period was to adjust the nutritional level of the diet and increase the proportion of protein in the diet so that the breeding fox could reach a moderate upper body condition before breeding. For over-fertilized and over-sized foxes, different nutrient standards should be applied to make them weigh up to 56 kg before mating. At the same time, gradually increase the light to stimulate gonad development.

Breeding period

Silver Fox's breeding season is in February and March, and blue fox is in March and April. During this period, it is necessary to provide fodder with abundant nutrition, good palatability, and digestible feed, and to appropriately increase the ratio of trace elements and vitamins in feed. Vitamin E20--30 mg can be added per kilogram of feed, onion or garlic 4--5 grams and trace elements 1-1.5 grams.

pregnancy

It is necessary to pay attention to feeds that provide comprehensive nutrition and good quality, and should not be fed with mildew and spoilage feed to prevent miscarriage. At the same time, we must also do a good job of hygiene and disinfection of the fox house, keep the fox house quiet, and minimize the occurrence of stress factors.

Breastfeeding

The early follicles of the mother have poor appetite, and it is better to feed them less frequently. Three days later, they are fed three times a day, and they are regularly quantified. Aberdeen foxes grow up to 25 days of age and should normally be supplemented twice daily. Fresh fish, liver, eggs, milk, etc. can be adjusted into a paste when feeding, allowing the fox to feed and return to the original nest after feeding.

Growth period

Foxets are generally weaned at 45 to 50 days of age. Those who are physically strong and have independent living ability should split their nests early; weaker ones should postpone their nesting time. After the fox has been divided into follicles, it enters the rearing period. Because the foxes grow faster at this stage, the plush growth in the latter stage is rapid and requires a large amount of nutrients. Therefore, the fox should be eaten as much as possible to ensure its normal development.
