Production and maintenance of fermentation beds

**Production and Maintenance of Fermentation Beds** Fermentation beds are an effective way to manage pig waste while promoting environmental sustainability. The structure of the pigsty should be oriented east-west, with a southern exposure for optimal sunlight. Depending on local conditions, it can be designed as a greenhouse or single- or double-row style. For better air circulation, it’s ideal to have “four windows complete” — which includes skylights, underground windows, regular windows, and windbreaks. These features help prevent bad odors from accumulating in corners and ensure good airflow. Pens should be divided by fences to maintain order and improve ventilation. The size of the area is also important — too large or too small can lead to issues like "bad beds," "blisters," or "muddy beds." A recommended size for a Jinpo fermentation bed is 20–45 square meters, which helps reduce these problems effectively. If possible, build the bed underground or semi-underground to avoid water leakage, especially in rainy areas. **How to Produce Fermentation Beds** Let’s take the Gold Baby Fermentation Bed as an example. This system uses a simple "dry spreading" method and a fool-proof process. With just "one dose and one material" and "five layers of four fungicides," it's easy to set up. For a 20-square-meter bed: 1. Dilute 2 kg of gold treasure compound (in a 5:1 ratio) with 10 kg of rice bran, corn flour, or other similar materials, then divide into 4 parts. 2. Prepare about 2 tons of dry sawdust (with a total thickness of at least 50 cm), and split it into 5 parts. 3. Start by laying down 10 cm of sawdust, then add a layer of fungi. Repeat this process for a total of five layers of sawdust and four layers of fungi. 4. Once the bed is ready, place the pigs inside. Do not add any water, and keep the density at 1.2–1.5 square meters per pig. Piglets may need a smaller area, but overall, the space should be adequate. After two to three days, the fermentation process will begin, breaking down the feces naturally. This dry-type fermentation bed doesn’t require pre-fermentation or added water, making it very user-friendly. **Maintenance of the Fermentation Bed** Proper maintenance is essential for the long-term function and performance of the fermentation bed. Here are some key points to consider: **3.1 Moisture Control** The moisture level in the excrement, urine, and the central layer should stay below 65%. To check, grab a handful of material — if no water drips and no visible watermark appears, it’s just right. Too dry or too wet can disrupt the fermentation process. If it's too dry, microbial activity slows down; if too wet, it can cause poor ventilation, leading to anaerobic conditions and foul smells. A drainage slot should be placed under the water trough to remove excess moisture. Typically, the surface should be around 20–30% humidity, while the middle layer should be 50–65%. Regularly monitor and adjust the moisture. Lightly spray water if dry, or add dry litter to absorb excess moisture. Gently mix the litter to promote even distribution, or remove and replace damp sections. **3.2 Regular Turning** Turn the bed every 1–2 weeks, to a depth of 20–30 cm. This helps maintain even decomposition and prevents compaction. **3.3 Proper Ventilation** Ensure good air circulation by using skylights, ground windows, and regular windows. In hot weather, use an induced draft fan to enhance airflow. Open the skylight during the day and close it at night to regulate temperature. Adjust ventilation based on the season and climate to keep the bed warm in winter and cool in summer. **3.4 Adding Litter and Bacteria** Over time, the litter may settle, so regularly add new material and beneficial bacteria to maintain the proper depth. This ensures that the core fermentation layer, protective layer, and buffer layer remain functional and balanced. By following these steps, you can maintain a healthy and efficient fermentation bed that supports both animal welfare and environmental sustainability.

Wireless Security Camera

The Network CCTV Wireless Security Camera

Compared with wired cameras, wireless security cameras are less invasive to your home, so they are easier and faster to set up. No need to drill through walls or ceilings. Wireless cameras are also more flexible than wired systems because they are not as constrained as wired systems.

The biggest disadvantage of a wireless Camera System is that it is completely dependent on the strength of your Wi-Fi connection. Any interruption or weak signal can mean that you may lose connection to the system, resulting in the loss of the film, which can be critical

Working principle of camera
The working principle of the camera is to reflect the light to the sensor, convert the signal captured by the sensor into a digital signal, and finally send it to the computer to display the image. Then the camera can capture the static and dynamic images in the picture.
The sensor of the camera is the most important part. It can capture light and convert it into electrical signals. There are many types of sensors, the most common are CCD and CMOS sensors, which can be used to capture images.
The internal circuit of the camera will convert the signal captured by the sensor into a digital signal and send it to the computer. The computer uses these signals to display images, or it can save images to the hard disk drive.
If the camera is not connected to the network, it will not be able to achieve real-time monitoring, but the camera will still work and save the pictures and videos taken. If we need to view, we can only remove the memory for viewing.

The smart camera can also support remote monitoring. You can remotely view the real-time image of the camera through your mobile phone or computer. Users can view the image of the camera anytime, anywhere, to better protect the security of your home or office.
