Rotary cultivator fault diagnosis technical guidance
1. Overloading of the rotary cultivator can occur due to deep plowing, heavy soil, or excessively hard ground. To prevent this, reduce the depth of plowing and adjust the unit's forward speed as well as the coulter speed accordingly. This will help avoid unnecessary strain on the machine. 2. When the rotavator jumps during operation, it is often caused by hard soil conditions or improper blade installation. To resolve this issue, lower the forward speed of the unit and the coulter speed, and ensure that all blades are installed correctly and securely. 3. Intermittent throwing of large clods by the rotary cultivator usually indicates a problem with the blades. Common causes include bent, broken, missing, or heavily worn blades. In such cases, the blades should be either straightened or replaced to restore proper performance. 4. Uneven ground after tilling may result from an improper balance between the unit's forward speed and the spindle speed. Adjusting these speeds to match each other can help achieve a smoother and more even finish. 5. Unusual noises coming from the coulter gearbox may be due to foreign objects lodged inside during installation or damage to gears and bearings. To fix this, carefully remove any foreign materials or replace damaged bearings and gears as needed. 6. Metal knocking sounds while operating the rotary cultivator can be caused by a loose drive chain hitting the transmission housing, deformed parts colliding, or loose blade screws. Check and adjust the tension of the drive chain, correct or replace any deformed components, and tighten all blade screws to eliminate the noise. 7. If the coulter shaft does not rotate properly, it could be due to a locked gear or bearing, deformation of the left arm or coulter shaft, or a broken drive chain. Additionally, the shaft might be clogged with mud. To fix this, repair or replace damaged parts, clean the shaft, and ensure all components are in good working condition. Proper maintenance and regular inspection of the rotary cultivator are essential to ensure smooth operation and extend its lifespan. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and make adjustments based on field conditions for optimal performance.
