Zhao Jingtian, a 55-year-old farmer from Shenjiagou Village in Mucheng County, Mulei County, Xinjiang, has created an innovative tractor automatic refueling device that has stood the test of time. Over the years, this invention has proven to be highly effective, offering multiple professional features such as protecting machinery, boosting mechanization efficiency, and reducing labor demands. It has gained widespread acceptance among farmers of all ages.
A local farmer shared his admiration: "Master Zhao’s automatic refueling device for tractors is much faster and easier to use compared to the traditional hand-operated fuel gun." Zhao had always been fascinated by agricultural machinery since he was young. He was skilled in driving, welding, and repairing machines. His inspiration came from the exhaust pipe of a tractor. Since 1985, he dedicated himself to researching and improving agricultural equipment. After over two decades of continuous experimentation and field testing, he finally succeeded in developing the tractor automatic refueling device.
According to Zhao, this device is suitable for both large and medium-sized tractors. Unlike conventional fuel pumps, it operates automatically without shaking, ensuring a fast and stable refueling process. The device prevents diesel from splashing or damaging the oil tank. In previous practices, filling 100 liters of diesel used to take at least 10 minutes, but now with this device, it only takes 2 to 3 minutes. To date, more than 200 units have been produced and sold out, creating a high demand in the market.
Zhao Jingtian has obtained a national patent certificate for his invention. He was also invited to work as a researcher at the Institute of Applied Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His invention was showcased at the 3rd China New Century Elite Cup Science and Technology Achievement Competition in Beijing, where it won first prize. Additionally, his work was included in the "Huaxia Yingcai Collection," recognizing his outstanding contributions to science and technology in agriculture.
