Beef feeding

Honey and pollen are the natural feed for bees. In order to maintain life and feed 150,000 to 200,000 bees each year, a group of bees spend about 15 to 20 kilograms of pollen a year, and 80 to 150 kilograms of honey (including 25 to 50 kilograms of wintering feed). These feed bees can be collected, stocked, and have a surplus. In order to speed up the development of bee colonies, people will rapidly breed bee colonies, produce more royal jelly, and make up for bee feeds in poor harvests, which will require feeding.
One, feeding honey or sugar
1. Feeding method: Feed honey or sugar to bee colonies, which can be divided into two types: grant feeding and reward feeding.
(1) Subsidy feeding: The main reasons for subsidized feeding are: the consumption of stored honey in early spring and overwintering bees; long-term rain, bees cannot be collected in the nest, or lack of honey, and the honey collected by bees is not enough for their consumption; The wintering feed for the group is insufficient; feeds are added to new groups. In the above cases, a box feeder or a nest feeder is needed to feed a large amount of food in a relatively short period of time.
(2) Reward feeding: The purpose of reward feeding is: In spring, in order to stimulate queen bee spawning, accelerating the development and growth of bee colonies; Before the big stream honey period, promoting the queen bees to spawn, training the age-appropriate collecting bees for the main honey source; Train a large number of winter bees. Reward feeding is less frequent and longer in duration per feed and is usually fed by a nest gate feeder.
2, feeding the specific material:
(1) Thick feed: The feed supplement uses thick feed. Mix 4 parts of water with boiling water and stir it to open. 2 parts of white granulated sugar and 1 part of water were added. Add tartaric acid 0.1% in the syrup, boil immediately and withdraw the fire, which can promote the conversion of the maple syrup.
(2) Thin feed: 1 serving of honey is mixed with 1 serving of water or 1 serving of sugar plus 2 servings of water, stirred and opened for reward feeding.
(3) Mix powder feed: Dissolve 10 parts of honey in 10 parts of boiling water, and mix 1 part of pollen after letting warm. When royal jelly is produced, feeding a mixed feed of honey powder can stimulate bees to secrete royal jelly; when the spleen is established, feeding this kind of feed can increase the secretion of beeswax and accelerate the spleen.
(4) Dry sugar: In the bee season, dry sugar can be fed. Open a 20-mm diameter hole in the center of the wooden cover and put white sugar on the cover. Place it on the beehive and the bees can feed. Pay attention to cover the lid.
Second, feeding pollen pollen is a bee's protein feed, in the absence of pollen to supplement feeding.
1. When the pollen spleen is rich in powder, the pollen spleen can be raised from the bee colony, concentrated in the following box, added to a small number of strong bee colony, so that the bees can be kept safe and ready for accidents.
2, pollen sugar cake 4 kilograms of pollen plus 7.5 kilograms of thick syrup, mixed, made of soft and hard sugar cake. When you feed the bee, spread it over the honeycomb frame and cover it with a waxed paper or plastic film. Each group feeds 100-300 grams at a time, and bee colonies can be fed within 7-10 days.
Third, feed pollen substitutes defatted soy flour, yeast powder, milk powder, soy milk and so are rich in protein, can be used as pollen substitutes.
1, defatted soy flour: dried pollen 1 kg, add 1 kg blisters 12 hours, so that the pollen group spread, add defatted soy flour 3 kg, and 6.5 kg of thick syrup mix, made of sugar cake. Feeding method ibid.
2, yeast powder: dry yeast 1 kg plus 1 kilogram of warm water for 1 hour, into the 10 kilograms of thin syrup, boil, put the temperature after the bee. Each time the students are fed about 300 grams, they should finish the meal within 2 days.
Fourth, feeding water is an indispensable material for maintaining life activities. The bees also use water to regulate the temperature and humidity of the hive. When there is a source of honey, bees can get moisture from nectar. During the early spring and summer droughts, hundreds of bees in the bee colony devoted themselves to collecting water every day, feeding water both inside and outside the nest to relieve bee labor and casualties. Drought in Xinjiang and bees are also feeding water from the nest gate during the wintering season.
There are drinking fountains in the beeyard. Nest feeders can also be used to feed water at the nests, or box feeders can be used to feed water in nests.
Fifth, the life activities of feeding salt bees also require a small amount of minerals. When water is added, about 0.1% salt can be added to the water. High concentrations of salt are harmful to bees.
