In order to solve the conflict between the high insurance premiums of agricultural insurance and the weak ability of farmers to pay, and at the same time resolve the concerns of insurance companies with regard to high risk of agricultural insurance business and high payment ratio, Guangzhou has arranged more than 20 million yuan since 2007 to provide farmer insurance premium subsidy for farmers. The reporter learned from the interview that agricultural insurance has achieved positive results in stabilizing agricultural production and safeguarding the interests of rural households. However, large-scale promotion still faces variability in farmers' insurance awareness, high operating costs, lack of insurance varieties, and unreasonable design. There is no need to expand the scope of co-ordination.
