Policy-Based Agricultural Insurance Says Farmers Say Goodbye to Heaven

In March, Guangdong, with its rainy and wet weather, the cold air from time to time adds uncertainty to the spring plowing. Huang Xikai, a peasant farmer, was in a calm mood. He had eaten the "rice insurance" because he had "rice insurance."

"In a few days, we can transplant rice. After transplanting, we must quickly buy rice insurance. We use 3 acres of flowers and 4 acres of flowers to grow more than a dozen blocks. There is a bottom in my heart." In Dagang Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou No. 53, No. 11 Heban Second Street, Lian 2 Village, Huang Xikai told the reporter when he looked at the tender green seedlings.

Huang Xikai has a simple shed next to his home, which is a "greenhouse" built specifically for nursery. Due to the relatively low temperature recently, the simple shed was covered with a film. The reporter saw that the seedlings grew densely and had grown to three or four centimeters tall and could be transplanted into paddy fields soon.

Dagang Township Agricultural Office Hu Huimin told reporters that Dagang Town has more than 70,000 people, of which more than 50,000 are farmers. There are about 5,000 acres of rice fields. “Rice insurance” was launched from last year’s late production. The enthusiasm of farmers in the town was very high, and 2,700 acres of rice insurance was purchased voluntarily.

Rice insurance allows farmers to spend small money and buy protection. He Shantang, a rice farmer in Dagang Town, said: “In early November last year, a heavy rain caused more than 200 acres of rice in my house to be affected. The rice is hanging and all lodgings are underway. Fortunately, rice insurance was bought. After the insurance company came to verify the disaster, they lost two. More than ten thousand yuan."

Cai Jian, a member of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Financial Work Office, said that the characteristics of agricultural “depending on the nature of the day” determine the high risk, high cost, and high compensation of agricultural insurance. In order to solve the conflict between the high insurance premiums of agricultural insurance and the weak ability of farmers to pay, and at the same time resolve the concerns of insurance companies with regard to high risk of agricultural insurance business and high payment ratio, Guangzhou has arranged more than 20 million yuan since 2007 to provide farmer insurance premium subsidy for farmers. Mobilize the enthusiasm of farmers and insurance companies from both demand and supply.

The reporter learned from the interview that from July 2011 onwards, Guangzhou began to implement policy-based rice planting insurance. In the second half of the year, rice insurance coverage reached 12.35 million mu (later), and the insurance amount was 37,004,100 yuan. The premium is 15 yuan per mu, and the insurance amount is 300 yuan per mu. The financial subsidy is 80%. Farmers only need to bear 20%, that is, 3 yuan per mu.

Chen Yangsheng, deputy general manager of Sanjia Insurance Department of PICC Guangzhou Branch, said that the introduction of rice insurance effectively prevented the risk of rice cultivation, ensured food security and continued income increase for farmers, and provided institutional guarantees for agricultural development in Guangzhou. Insurance liability includes losses caused by natural disasters such as rainstorms, floods, internal storms, wind disasters, flood disasters, and frost disasters.

In addition to rice insurance, agricultural policy insurance such as farm house insurance and capable of sow-breeding insurance, farmers are bidding farewell to “living on the heavens”. Take rural housing insurance as an example. If farmers spend 1 yuan, they can receive a maximum amount of 10,000 yuan. In 2011, Guangzhou Rural House Insurance participated in the renewal of insurance coverage of 608,791 households with a coverage rate of 98.6%.

Huang Xikai said: “In April last year, a rare tornado hit Xinlian Second Village, and the village’s houses were basically damaged. My family’s two-story house had not seen a floor, and after more than 10 days it received 5,000 compensation claims. After hearing about rice insurance in the first half of the year, I was the first to register and buy it."

The reporter learned from the interview that agricultural insurance has achieved positive results in stabilizing agricultural production and safeguarding the interests of rural households. However, large-scale promotion still faces variability in farmers' insurance awareness, high operating costs, lack of insurance varieties, and unreasonable design. There is no need to expand the scope of co-ordination.

Cai Jian said: “Policy-based agricultural insurance has improved the pertinence and fairness of financial support for agriculture, and can promote the transformation of rural disaster relief from 'post-hoc relief' to 'previous precaution.' Next, Guangzhou should further expand its coverage and integrate local agriculture. Characteristics, introduce more new agricultural insurance varieties, such as vegetable insurance, lychee insurance, etc."

DVR 5MP

DVR 5MP, also called the Digital Video Recorder DVR 5MP/ Digital Video Recorder 5MP/ DVR CCTV 5MP/ DVR 5MP 4CH/ 5MP HD DVR/ 5MP DVR Security System, means that this Digital Video Recorder has 5 million pixels.

So what does 5MP pixels stands for?
The letter "M" means million, and the letter "P" means pix, so 5MP means 5 megapixels. MP refers to MegaPixel. Some cameras only display 1M, 3M, 5M, etc.,. more specifically speaking, 5MP means that the camera is set at 5 million pixels to take photos. By analogy, 3MP is 3 million pixels, and 16MP is 16 million pixels.

So does the pixel mean?
The pixel refers to the smallest unit in an image represented by a sequence of numbers.
The pixel is composed of the small aquares of an image. These small squares have a clear position and assigned color value in this image, and the color and position of the small squares can determine what this image looks like. We can regard the pixel as the indivisible unit or element in the entire image. The pixel is indivisible, which means it can't be cut into smaller units or elements because it exists as a single color grid. Each bitmap image contains a certain amount of pixels, which can determine the size of the image on the screen.

The pixel for the camera actually means the maximum pixel. Pixel is the unit of resolution. This pixel value only refers to the maximum effective resolution the camera supports.

For example, the resolution of 0.3MP is 640×480, 0.5MP is 800×600, 0.8MP is 1024×768 5" (3.5×5 inches), 1.3MP is 1280×960 6" (4×6 inches), 2MP is 1600×1200 8" (6×8 inches) 5" (3.5×5 inches), 3.1MP is 2048×1536 10" (8×10 inches) 7" (5×7 inches), 4.3MP is 2400×1800 12" (10×12 inches) 8" (6×8 inches), 5MP is 2560×1920 12" (10×12 inches) 8" (6×8 inches), 6MP is 3000×2000 14" (11×14 inches) 10" (8×10 inches), 8MP is 3264×2488 16"(12×16 inches) 10" (8×10 inches), 11MP is 4080×2720 20" (16×20 inches) 12" (10×12 inches), 14MP is 4536×3024 24" (18×24 inches) 14" (11×14 inches), and all these are the approximate dimensions.

When we measure the picture size in pixels, we need to specify its fixed resolution first, then we can convert the picture size to the actual size. For example, the commonly used resolution of the pictures in the web page making is 72, that is, 72 pixels per inch, and 1 inch is equal to 2.54 cm. Then, through conversion, we can know that each cm is equal to 28 pixels; another example is a picture with the size of 15x15 cm, which is equal to 420*420 pixels.
DPI means ** dots per inch
LPI means ** lines per inch
PPI means **pixels per inch

DVR 5MP

In conclusion, we should pick up the most suitable pixels when we choose the security cameras and DVRs.
