Rotary cultivator safety operation requirements
1. When operating a rotary cultivator, never insert the blade into the soil or lower it into the ground before starting the machine. Always ensure the engine is running and the blades are fully engaged only after the machine is in motion.
2. During operation, avoid making sharp turns or reversing. If you need to turn or move backward, raise the cultivator first to prevent damage to the blades or the machine. When raising or lowering the machine, slow down your speed and avoid lifting it too high. The universal joint should not be angled more than 30 degrees to prevent mechanical stress or failure.
3. Before cleaning around the cultivator, removing debris, tightening parts, or replacing the coulter, always disconnect the power source and allow the engine to stop completely. This ensures safety and prevents accidental movement of the blades.
4. When turning the tractor on the field, hold the handlebar firmly and wait until the plow is lifted from the ground before disengaging the steering clutch. This helps maintain control and avoids sudden movements that could lead to accidents.
5. When moving between fields or crossing over turf, always turn off the power and lift the cultivator to its highest position. While traveling across the field, the operator must not sit in the seat—stand instead for better visibility and control. When working in paddy fields or on uneven terrain with high canopies, drive the tractor in reverse when going uphill to maintain stability and prevent tipping.
Additionally, always inspect the machine before use, check for any loose parts or wear, and make sure all safety mechanisms are functioning properly. Operators should wear appropriate protective gear, such as gloves and sturdy footwear, and stay alert at all times to avoid accidents. Regular maintenance is essential to keep the rotary cultivator in good working condition and extend its lifespan.
