The production areas are overweight. It is expected that three generations of corn borers in our province will occur in summer corn fields. Prevention and technical advice are as follows:

I. Agricultural control: After the pollination of corn is finished, scissors are used to cut off the filaments and bring them out of the field for centralized destruction. After the corn is harvested, the straw is crushed and returned to the field, or treated in a centralized manner, so as to reduce the overwintering base number of corn pods in the following year.

Second, sexual inducement control: the second generation of adult corn borer occurs during the peak period, per acre hanging corn attractant trap lure 1 to 2, higher than the top corn 20 to 30 cm. Clear the trap every 5 days.

Third, chemical control:

1. Control time. Most of the corn-producing areas are in medicine in late August.

2. Control indicators. Spike rate reached 10%, or 50 heads of insects.

3. Control object fields. Summer corn field from flowering to silking.

4. Control agents. Mu with 30% acephate 36 to 72 grams, or 20 grams of fenvalerate active ingredient, 30 to 40 kg of water irrigation corn ear top.

5. Precautions. Wear protective clothing and gloves and masks when spraying. At the same time, avoid operating during high temperatures and prevent poisoning and heatstroke.
