Lingnan Yellow Chicken Breeding Management Technology

1. Pay attention to the quality of chickens Currently, only the poultry research institute of the Animal Husbandry Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences provides Lingnan yellow chickens. Some self-proclaimed Lingnan yellow chickens on the market are counterfeit. Cheap deception. When entering the seedlings, select the suitable ones (including long speed, feather speed, coat color, body type, etc.), and pay attention to the accuracy rate of male and female identification and injection of Marek's vaccine.
2. Transportation of chicks In general, the healthy chicks that are purchased should be transported to the brooding house within 6-12 hours after hatching, and the long-distance transportation can not exceed 48 hours at the latest. Over 48 hours of chicks will increase death due to hunger, dehydration, and decreased physical fitness. The best choice for transportation in the evening in the summer, winter transportation should pay attention to insulation.
3. The practice of improving brooding and raising the survival rate of broodstock shows that the breeders with good breeding techniques, rich experience and strong sense of responsibility can improve the survival rate of broodstock.
1 Early preparations for brooding: Thorough cleaning and disinfection of sheds and all utensils should be done. The sheds can be fumigated with 30 ml of formalin and 15 g of potassium permanganate per square meter and fumigated for 24 hours. Appliances are generally used. A certain proportion of disinfectant is soaked and sterilized, and then dried in the sun for future use. Most of the broiler rearing methods use flat raising without changing the litter, and littering before hatching should also be disinfected together. The litter is often used for fine wood shavings or wood rakes. Soft, dry, and hygroscopic substances are usually 8-10 cm thick; chicks that are ready for chicks are eaten, and commonly used antibiotics and disinfectants are purchased.
2 Drinking and Feeding of Chicks: Due to long-distance transportation, the chicks can enter the house and take a short break to feed water. Normally, 1% glucose or vitamin B may be added to supplement the nutrition. The water temperature is preferably 18-24°C. If the weather is cold, drinking water should be preheated or heated with the house. One drinker is provided for every 80-100 chicks at 1-2 days of age. As the chick grows, the waterer should be added appropriately. About two hours after the start of drinking, they started to eat and eat. Generally, they used full-priced compound feeds to eat. Sprinkle evenly on the feed tray or paper, and gradually use the feed bucket over a week later, providing a bucket for every 20-25 chicks. Adopting free food intake requires less feeding.
4. Temperature and Humidity of Chicken House Breeding commercial broilers, the temperature of the house is preferably 20°C. If the temperature is lower than 20°C, the lower the temperature, the greater the energy consumption needed to maintain, the increase in feed intake, and the decrease in feed remuneration. At temperatures above 20°C, the higher the temperature, the lower the feed intake and the lower the rate of weight gain. If chicks are of small body weight, or if chicks have a large abdomen due to absorption of yolk, the temperature should be increased. Broiler temperatures should be raised by 1-2°C during the winter than in the summer and 1-2°C higher during the night than during the day. However, on the first day of the brooding, the temperature of the chicken house must be 33-35°C, and then the temperature of the brooding should be gradually reduced. Generally after 3 days of age, the temperature is reduced by 0.5°C per day until the sherbet temperature is maintained at about 20°C. The appropriate brooding temperature is based on the performance of the flock. Appropriate temperature, good appetite, drinking water, lively during the day, quiet at night, no squeaking, chicks evenly spread, stretch the neck, head to the ground or stretch to the wings to sleep, the chickens are healthy, well-developed, weight gain Also fast.
5. Feeding density Feeding density has a greater influence on the development of broilers, especially the uniformity of chicks. If the rearing density is too large, the ventilation is poor, the flock is crowded and the feeding is not uniform, which results in poor growth and development of the chicks and low uniformity of the group; and the rearing density is too large, resulting in space waste. The size of the rearing density is closely related to the structure of the house, feeding methods, technical level of the management staff, seasonality, house equipment and environmental control capability. Lingnan yellow chickens are recommended to be fast at long speed. According to ventilation, 30 animals per square meter are recommended for 1-14 days, 15 animals per square meter for 15-28 days, and 10 animals per square meter for 29-49 days. About 8 square meters and provide enough places for eating and drinking.
6. Lingnan Yellow Chicken is relatively quiet, has no fighting habits, and has no embarrassment. The severing is generally performed at 20-25 days, and it is only necessary to cut 1/3. One or two days before breaking, complex vitamins or vitamin K can be added to drinking water.
7. Strengthen management to prevent the occurrence of epidemic diseases. Adopt the “full-in, full-out” rearing system and allow people to eat freely. Daily feed and drinking water should be kept fresh and clean. Every day, carefully observe the flock's activities, feed intake, drinking water and feces. Abnormalities should be promptly taken to take effective measures, and diseased chickens should be isolated or eliminated in time. Do a variety of records: the youngest date, species, number of chicks, daily incidence, death, elimination of the number, registration of consumption, medication and vaccination situation. The immunization procedure is shown in the table below.
